Brent’s construction story begins at the age of nine on the construction site with his father and his brothers. From there, he put himself through college at Western Kentucky University where he earned a degree in Business Management. As a multi-generation builder it was not long before he entered the business for himself. 40+ years later, GreatHouse might have been through a few name changes, but Brent's philosophy always remains the same: Build a Great House!
Brent is an artist in his craft, he’s a perfectionist, and at this point in his career, he has developed into a masterful builder with an encyclopedia of knowledge, which empowers his team to deliver results that meet even the highest of expectations.
Nick Jones
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Nick brings a different type of expertise to the table for GreatHouse. After a successful run launching and building his start-up in Silicon Valley and experiencing multiple acquisitions, Nick returned home in 2018 to join the family business. Given his unique relationship with his Dad, it was almost inevitable and the timing was meant to be. Bringing his tech principles to a blue collar industry, Nick quickly introduced efficiencies everywhere possible and uplifted GreatHouse’s internal infrastructure to rival its already established product and reputation, ultimately taking the customer experience to the next level. Nick operates our business in the office and he operates your project from behind the scenes.
Steven Purdue
PROJECT SUPERVISOR
Steven is a long time sub-contractor who decided to make it official and join forces with GreatHouse to help oversee the day-to-day production out on our job sites. Steven is a highly skilled framing and finish carpenter who brings 20+ years of experience in the field into your home. While he still pulls out the tool belt from time to time to put the final touches on our projects and to keep things flowing, Steven’s main focus is on the overall construction details to ensure an efficient and successful project from start to finish.
Rebecca Reed
PROJECT MANAGER
Rebecca is coming up on 15 years with GreatHouse and she holds it down for us, probably in more ways than she gets credit for. Rebecca assists the client-facing side of our projects from start to finish. While a lot of it happens behind the scenes, she does everything from estimating, design and drafting, to product selections, mechanical layouts, and scheduling. Her design background and construction experience combined with her longstanding relationships with our subs and suppliers makes her a huge asset to our team and to your project.
Harvey Willis
ADVISOR, BOARD MEMBER
Harvey joined Brent in 2001 after the renovation of his own home. Harvey had been referring clients for the past 20 years so it only made since to bring him on as a partner. Harvey is no a stranger to business. After graduating from Penn State with an Accounting degree and earning his CPA, he took on the corporate world for 27 years. He knows what it takes to make a client happy, and what it feels like to live in a GreatHouse.
Now enjoying retirement, Harvey splits time between church and mission projects, his boat, and the beach, but he’s still around taking on select projects, servicing past clients’ homes, and injecting his positive spirit into the growth of our business as our most trusted advisor.
Wally Kendrick
BAGS-ON FOREMAN
Wally describes his role best: “if it isn’t contracted, I got it”… He is a professional problem solver.
Wally spent much of his career as a state highway / interstate construction inspector, and many years as an excavator / finish grader. So, he is a magician operating heavy equipment and he has a keen eye for operating a job site. Chances are you will see him on site at your home as he bounces around to all of our projects. Just don’t be alarmed if he’s digging a trench one day, and installing hardware the next… Wally does it all!
